Dolce Far Niente

I must admit, I've been lazy these past few weeks....Illness both physical and mental {a little on the depressed side at the time} so I've been lacking in energy. Friday is my big day for the hospital tests...hope they can find what my aliment is. So tried of feeling this way.
I haven’t completely tune myself off from the world but I'm living my life doing the usual chores of the day with the occasionally distraction to get creative. I think I’m starting to get overwhelmed with Christmas.
With all the shopping, cleaning and baking and not to mention that I must keep a tight budget for Christmas gifts my creativity is very limited these days.
Writing on the other hand doesn’t cost me anything only that if I’m sick and depressed I get a mind block. So it seems that it’s a no win situation on both planes of creativity for me. I’ll try to get busy with the things I do have to get creative and maybe even try to sell some on eBay.

Have a good weekend to all of you; will be back next week.
I’ll leave you now with this poem:

Dolce Far Niente

Oh, how sweet doing nothing!
Oh, how sweet this magnificent obsession
your kisses are only wasted on me
for I have other dreams.

My love lies in the streams
Of never-ending dreams
For I alone see
What I wish my life could be

Oh, my beloved
Never mind you see
I'm not the person that I seem
For I have other dreams.

Oh, how sweet doing nothing
Oh, how sweet this life could be
If only I could live
Within these splendid dreams

How true! We can't be 100% all the time. When I feel like this, I try to accept it and go with the flow, just giving 100% of what I am capable of giving at the time.
Christmas is best started now, in small increments, so that you can enjoy your day and remember it well. Just one small errand a day and you will find it gets done!
My thoughts are with you and I hope your health tests determine the cause of your energy loss.
Be gentle with yourself! I love your poem, yes, sometimes it is GREAT to do NOTHING>

I will have you in my thoughts sweet Annabelle when you go for your tests. Don't let Christmas overwhelm you..keep it sweet and simple..your health is the most important issue right now.
If you feel like doing nothing thats okay too...it will pass...and you will soon return to your creative self..

Poor you, I'm hoping you will soon be feeling on top of the world. Christmas can be a very stressful time especially if your not feeling 100% so try and be kind to yourself.

Dear Annabelle,
I will keep you in my prayers, I had no idea you were having problems. I think this time of year can be so overwhelming, I try to keep things as simple as I can so I don't get too stressed out. You are one of the most creative women I have had the plesure to meet through blogging, and I am sure any block you may have will pass soon.
Love and Blessings...

Hope your tests went well Annabelle, I saw a lady made of shells in a charity shop yesterday and it reminded me of your angel. Although quite frankly it wasn't anywhere near as nice as your angel, so she stayed int the shop.

It's a tough time of year. Take care of yourself. What doesn't get done for Christmas, doesn't get done. Some things don't matter - your health is more important.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
