Sea Angel , Sea Angel
Sea Angel,Sea Angel
"Will you be mine
My darling dear
Love you all the time
I’m just a fool
A fool in love with you"
Last year I decide to make this night light from one of the shells I had purchased at a thrift store. At first it was intended to hang on the tree but when I accidentally placed it next to a lamp the pink of the shell interior blushed through. I had no choice but to make it into a light. The halo is part of a daisy prism that had broken, the heart around her neck is one of my earrings and her face is from some angels that I used to have before they too were damaged. The arms are from a dollar store doll that I bought specifically to use for the angel.Her wings are two pieces of coral I collected in Florida and the old lace finishes off her attire. I really love this angel and I would like to make some more this year that are all different; maybe part with some to sell.
The halo is noticeable in this shot.
Clusters of pearls I placed under the ruffles of her gown.

~ Turn of the Screw ~
WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.

Hi Annabelle, she is lovely and very unusual. I think I can safely say that I have never seen an angel like this before. So you have a unique, one of a kind, product made using some vintage findings - I think you may be on to a winner here. Why not give it a go?
