Sunken Dream

Sunken Dream, originally uploaded by sorrenta.

Inspiration for a poem

Sunken Dream

Deep into the depths of darkness
Deep within the silence of my hardened soul
My secrets lie forgotten
No more to press the aching of my hearts black hole

To own jewels of blue and gold
A life adorned of beauty, no longer hold thy bliss
What was once obsessed, is now at rest
Within this sunken dream, I lost its lasting kiss

Trickling gems their glint so luring
To the depths they gently drowned
I have no need for these tiny frivolities
My only want, is thy father in his consecrated crown

The one who has given life
Bejeweled the earth with precious living ornaments
A testament of everlasting love
My only true possessions
Is for my family and me
To have his true affection from heavenly above

This reminds me of trips to the coast where we walk out to see the wrecks, think it's about time we went again.

Hi Guys,

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
