Questing For a Fairy Tale

Questing for a fairy tale, originally uploaded by isolano.

Meet me by the sea
For there is where I dwell ....So secretly
Within my castle keep
Where earth sinks deep into the sea

Behind these castle walls of
Sun soaked peach and coral red
Edged in imagery of fancy thread
Against a sky of cherub blue ....My fairytale begins

Before time stirs the mad, mad world
I wander by a shore veiled in purple haze
Breeze serene and cool
Starfish, shells, sand and sea
These are all a part of me

Upon the sand of white
Lies a fragment of delight
An aqua glass mirrors bright
Images of turquoise nights
And birds marine in flight

In brilliant and luminous skies
There you’ll find me
Outstretched on an ocean ledge
With salted mist on my feet
Like a starfish clinging out of sea

Jewels from the deep
Treasures lost at sea
Pirates’ quest for gold
A picture of shimmering stars
On an eternal sheet of velvet indigo blue

Impassioned fireflies gently fly
In a magical black of blue
Amongst the stars of sky and sea
Underneath a sugary watermelon moon
Glittering and glistening in their eternal dance

And when surf‘s mighty force crashes against the rocky shore
Rolling back into the unfathomable sea
It deafens the echoes in the distance
Of chimera mermaid calls
And I’m compelled to look out to the sea

Secretly… a zephyr wind
Brushes up against my cheek
Awakes my senses dazed
From my splendid dream
Of this oceanic view

A castle by the sea
Where many suns and many moons
Have seen its face reflect
Upon an ocean blue

...Where fairytales
Within its hidden rooms…become so true

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
