Twilight~New Moon~Eclipse~Breaking Dawn~Midnight Sun
We took the pleasure of attaining a little relief from the rain showers this evening but it was short lived. Not long after, the wind died down and the humidity in the still air became heavy. For one of us the shower seemed like the mist of the Falls of Niagara and for the other, engrossed reading the second book of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer, had found their release of the heat. And I, well trying to keep my frustration to a minimum with a buggy computer in the heat and hoping to get a short post up before turning in for the night.
For over a year now I have in unperturbed persuasion been trying to get my daughter to read “Twilight”, but I alas failed terribly and her friends having the same fate until last week when MTV Awards played a segment of the upcoming film in December, somehow, something triggered her interest to purchase the book and read within it’s pages the romantic tale of Bella and Edward.
We agreed that whenever she’d finish one I would get it next to read and seeing as she had just bought the book “Twilight” last Tuesday and had finished it by Friday that I would be a good mom and buy her the hardcover copy of “Eclipse” and she buy “New Moon”. But now it looks as though I am behind two books and she is on her third; good thing that I bought her the third one “Eclipse”.
As far as I know there are five books to the Twilight series and from all indications including my daughters, friends and store clerks at Indigo, this is truly one series to not miss reading. So I better get busy reading, after all I have “The Strange Case of Benjamin Button” to read as well although only a short story and I’ll be looking forward to December as definitely the month of magic…in films.
I really didn’t need that last cup of coffee but since the night is too hot to sleep, I’ll be wide-awake and reading into the night…

WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
