* ~ Moody Blue Mood...Thinking of Bowie ~

Click on title to listen to Heroes

Tonight, I’m dwelling in the past; probably trying to hold onto memories I shared with friends, now gone.

It was the early eighties, September 3rd 1983 when my then boyfriend, I and my best friend went to see Bowie perform in Toronto.
It was to become a very Serious Moonlight Trip, for I never got off!

Completely awestruck in his sultry, ethereal voice sinking deep into new dimensions of my soul I never knew had existed; I was simply taken in… eternally.
I didn’t want to escape and I loved every single second, minute of pure magical musical imprisonment in the caged confines of the CNE Stadium in Toronto, enthralled to be under the spell of “The Serious Moonlight”.

Musician, Shakespeare actor, producer, arranger, artist, creator of many art forms, Bowie was, is the renaissance man of musical art form.One more of my muse.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
