*** Escaping the Blue ***

Life has many daunting downbeats and sometimes too consuming to help oneself out of a deep blue state of mind……But then there is music.

With a quality of calm, it casts quiet reflection upon the listener through its lyrical words and it resonates much of what one values or experiences in life.

There is a reason why music is much loved by the human race; it is one of our most readily available components of instant ratification in expressing the state of our current psyche.

It is an escape, a solace, a remedy to what ails one.

It is inspiration in life,in writing and in creating art.

It is our very own positive ally.

And so, once again I have found pleasurable company with a very old friend
who always has time to spare and gives a lift to my soul when it calls.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
