*** Gold for Canadians ***

**** Canada's Women's Hockey **** Set the pace for Gold

....My favorite moment in The 2010 Vancouver Olympics!

I adore Hockey but the nail biting angst I can’t stand, especially the one of last night.

What we all Canadians feared,happened...

When gold was seconds from our grasp...

Black horror cloaked over us when, with 24.4 seconds left in the third period of the game........Zach Parise in a blink of an eye, swiftly stole our dream!

I grabbed a little red ladybug and tucked it in my pocket...

The last time I can remember being on pins and needles was back in 72 watching Paul Henderson score Canada’s winning goal and again in 87 with Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux

And then....What we were waiting for… came to be.

Another monumental moment was etched in Canadian history... Iginla’s huge set up assist to Sidney Crosby’s golden shot sealed our fate!

... And the country went Wild!

"It's a dream come true to win a gold medal,"
"To score in overtime, here in Canada, what's better than that?
I've dreamed of that moment a thousand times."...Crosby

A Dream came true on Canadian Ice last night!

Thanks Team Canada....

Thanks Canada for the pocketful of gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s good to be Canadian....
It’s good to be home....

Luv you Canada!

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
