"Let us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherized upon a table; "
In the days following my Arthroscopic Surgery on both my knees, I took a little pill, wallowed in pain to my comfy bed and napped for an entire weekend and some.
Ah, if not for the modern day "little bump to get you through the day" what would we do?
Well , besides the prescription meds, I would definitely recommend watching "Nurse Jackie" during the course of recovery, especially for one who has just recently been discharged from hospital….haha.
Nurse Jackie (Edie Falco ) is a new dark comic serial on showtime which follows the life of a nurse in a New York ER who by some accounts of her actions seems to be headed straight on a road to self- destruction.
She has addictions to Vicodin, Sex, Plagiarizing , Vendettas and Recycling to name a few.
Nurse Jackie is well written and perfectly cast, my only regret is the leave of Haaz Sleiman (Mo-Mo) who was the gay nurse in the first season; I will miss him, he was just so darn good....too bad!
Eve Best plays Dr. O'Hara ( Nurse Jackie's best friend), Peter Facinelli from Twilight's Dr. Cullan plays Dr. Cooper who arbours a strange boob affliction( wouldn't tell you, you'll have to watch the show) but I will say this of him he plays a complete counterpart to that of his Twilight character and GOOD and Merritt Weaver (Zoey) the clumsy student nurse who everybody loves, even Dr. Acalitus with the strange disease sounding name comprise the medical team that works with Nurse Jackie; sorry but I have forgotten her name.

You have to applaud the show's creators, they really have succeeded in making a unique series, a little like "House" but Oh so much better I think….more fun less serious!!!
I think what makes this show fun is how the punishment fixed by Nurse Jackie to an offender for a particular offence is played out ,sometimes unrealistic and other times very much to our mutual agreement but always making for some amazing laughs to be had. What most of us do in the real world, keeping our thoughts within, it is nice for a change to see someone play them out just for pretend, and of course, remember its just fiction. Aside from some controversy on the way our nurses may be portrayed in this series we all can take assurance that we know this story isn't all true and our health care professionals are all there when we need them most!
A Must Watch! I love "Nurse JACKIE "
And so here we are, my bones and me,
When the evening is spread out against the sky,
Like a patient, returned home, stretched out on a bed
,,,,,,,Watching Nurse Jackie
