A Romantic Treasure Hunt

Love in a Treasure Keep

A while back I made this Treasure Chest with crystallized fossils I found during a walk in the woods. I really didn't know what to do with them being so small but I already had the chest and the heart nugget and then the idea of a Treasure in a chest gave me the thought of what could be more precious than life and love and so the Little Treasure Keep was born. Now I am back to creating these Little Treasure Keeps for my Etsy shop.

Giving your loved ones a special day hunting for love tokens throughout the house or garden doesn't seem to be such a bad idea......

Happy Valentines Day

Petals
Life is a stream
On which we strew
Petal by petal the flower of our heart;
The end lost in dream,
They float past our view
We only watch their glad, early start.
Freighted with hope,
Crimsoned with joy,
We scatter the leaves of our opening rose;
Their widening scope,
Their distant employ,
We never shall know. And the stream as it flows
Sweeps them away,
Each one is gone
Ever beyond into infinite ways.
We alone stay
While years hurry on,
The flower fared forth, though its fragrance still stays.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
