PAINT PARTY FRIDAY ~ CATCH A FALLIN STAR

Thanks Eva and  Kristin for hosting Paint Friday Party!
Just what I needed to get moving on my painting ...Thanks a bunch and you too  Victoria...

 Click on the paint party friday logo on my side bar to visit all the participating artists, your sure to be inspired !

Okay, I wanted to join the Paint Friday Party because I have been working on some ideas unfortunately I have had some prior commitments to attend to this past week, errands of sorts and some art projects that I had in the mist of completing so alas I didn't get the chance to work on finishing my painting. The painting I'm talking about is of a beautiful serene moon on a winter's evening that I had seen driving home from the hospital one night; It was magical and I hope to capture it's essence on canvas, this one will be for a future Paint Friday Party.
So for now I will share with you this old painting I did years ago which  I incorporated into my digital design. I painted the moon and stars and the rest was digitally collaged. Recently I had this image printed in various sizes for  prints and pendants to sell in my etsy shop.
I have some sketches waiting to be painted and as usual some of them will be  incorporate into my digital work.

I guess my work is naive, whimsical and fairytale like, the best I can paint I'm afraid but I hope through this alliance of painters to become better in time. Another idea I have is to also work with my paintings and use them in combinations with my photographic images and there again another area I want to excel in and better myself.

I hope you like what you see and that I have inspired you as well.

Annabelle,

Isn't it fun to play with your artwork in Photoshop? (Ooh, that's the program I have, I tend to forget their are other programs out there. lol) I have done that with several of my pieces just to see how they look with different filters or adding different elements. Great job!

I think it is just beautiful work and yes you have inspired me. I love the blues and what you've done with the digital collage. I've got to learn that one day. Thanks, great work. Have a wonderful weekend.

The moon always speaks to me! I love yours. Beautiful colors and such a serene face. The digital piece is very inspiring. I love to do that, too! So much fun to mix the two, I think!

Beautiful painting cleverly combined with digital collaging. The moon seems so at peace & this makes me feel the same when I look at her.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
