FAIRY'S Home In the Woods Paint Party Friday Week 7

This week's Paint Party Friday Week 7 submission is of a Fairy Door and Home done on

Shelf Mushroom ~ Artist Conk  in wood- burning ( Pyrography ) and paint.

Lost the hydro last night.....Boy are we spoilt!!! My daughter was bored and decided to have a bit of fun playing with wax....Encaustic wax could be her calling...lol. Anyway, needless to say I was unable to complete the painting but needed some advise so it all worked out in the end.

Candle in the Night ....Romantic and mesmerizing, a beauty all their own

A Spider Web Window for a Fairy's Home in the Wood

Steps not sure how to give them more depth......? I also was thinking of adding a few bricks here and there to give the walls to the home some character and dimension..... maybe a little kitty sleeping by the doorstep would be a cute touch. Any suggestions are welcomed.

This is really a fun painting. Do you have to do anything special to get the surface ready to paint on or afterwards to preserve it?

I LOVE this, it's so charming it made me smile! The way you had the tree wrap around your entire composition was a magical idea and the little birdie home was so sweet. I think adding a cat might be a cute touch, just be careful that it doesn't make things to busy! Oh and I love the little heart you snuck in- perfect!

I think this is lovely! So very detailed (I love that you showed us the details with close-up pictures of them!).
I don't think you'd need to add much to finish it. Looks wonderful as it is.

Magical. Love both the definite lines and the smudges. Each has their place.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
