Dreams are Whispers of the Soul ~ Pastoral Dreams ~ Paint Party Friday Week 9, Year 3

Stormy Sensuous Seductive Hypnotic Clouds, a picture worth an intense dream or painting ? Took this photo last year during stormy weather.

Note : At the end of this post I've embeded a Youtube Video of a classic tango of 1926 by Nat  Shilkret. David Lynch used this musical piece in his Dior ad " Lady Blue Shanghai " starring Marion Cotillard. Please do give it a listen while you read this post, it somehow transports you to another time and place, quite romantic. It is one of my favourite tangos and if you like the oldies like I do, I'm sure this tango will become one of your favourites as well O,O

"Painting is a metaphor for control. Every choice is mine...The canvas, the colour. As a child, I had neither a sense of the world nor my place in it, but art taught me that one's vision can be achieved with SHEER FORCE OF WILL. The same is true of life, provided one refuses to let anything stand in one's way." Klaus Michaelson ~ "VAMPIRE DIARIES"

Well, I can safely say I've been quite loyal to the quote, about 50% of the time that is; occasionally straying away from my painting whenever my husband and son return home from their work on their 2 week leave. Usually we like to try to fit in a little getaway while he's in town as well as spending time together as a family so needless to say time flies by quickly and before you know it it's time for the boys to head back to work.
So, since I've been away from home and canvas, I will share with Paint Party Friday a past digital graphic design I did in 2010.

"Dreams are Whispers of the Soul".

Haiku ?

Sweet Hypnotic Sleep:
Dreams are whispers of the soul
who together sleep

Annabelle

Dreams are the windows to other worlds , delicious, mysterious, intoxicating, hypnotic, mesmerizing, intriquing worlds or worlds you rather hoped you never had entered.

Even they Dream...and if caught in a bad dream they have each other for a comforter.

A good idea to have one of these near your bed.

And the Dreams of the Day are the White Lion Wishes you Blew on the Wind

And I leave you now to Dream a little Dream with this beautiful vintage classic tango

"Tango ~ Fate " ~ Nat Shilkret 1926, enjoy O,O

Hi Annabelle! What a fantastic blog!!! So unique, as you are my darling. I loved your comment on my blog...just beautiful...courage! You remind me, in every way, of Rumi. How you write, what your art conjures up in me, your colors...it is incredible how much I "see" Rumi - as soon as I opened your blog! Very cool. The art is incredible. The sunset is beautiful - the writing is outstanding (Rumiish)and the digital - Phew - just amazing. Neighbours? Where do you live. How exciting. I am hoping it is the indigo just a second from where I live!!! Gluttony at work. lol Lovies, Samara

Just dropping in to say thank you to everyone for leaving me so many lovely comments.Very happy you like the art, music and tango; I'll keep trying to bring you a little bit of happiness every PPF! I am still making my way through the PPF list...probably be done by this Wednesday : ) So much to read, see, and leave notes that it does take it's share of time. Oh and a VERY HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all!

Samara, your note you left me ....I'm just so flattered...Rumi....wow! Anyway, I dropped in the Indigo in Barrhaven, anywhere close to you? I live south of there in a little town that is now becoming big and I so desperately want to move into seclusion...lol! Maybe somewhere near the sea, better by the sea O,O

Ginny, I'm not sure what type of music you like but I thought Marianne's song is just one of those songs that I can relate to, fell in love with it the moment I heard it in the movie "Montenegro", many years ago and thought you might of liked it as well.
So better devote a few hours to PPF and tour the blogs : )

Take care everyone
Annabelle

WE WERE SOLDIERS

WE WERE SOLDIERS
~ Annabelle

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
