Happy Caturday - "Unorthodox " Behaviour πΎ♥️πΎ Creme de Meow
The theme for Happy Caturday - "Unorthodox " Behaviour πΎ♥️πΎ
Creme de Meow tastes so much better in vintage crystal. Bat and Maggie adore drinking out of these glasses. When the glasses come out, they know they are getting their special drink, Creme de Meow ( milk).

STORY BOOK DAYS THE CRAZY CAT LADY COLORING BOOK
Story Book Days ☆★.٭•:*:•٭.★☆ ☆★.٭•:*:•٭
Every day is a lesson learned. I seriously need to keep a book on computer tech stuff because I tend to forget just about everything I have learned through the years. This morning I searched on creating a watermark and managed to make one in pink for M''s illustration of "E.T." the Cat from the coloring book we are presently working on, "The Crazy Cat Lady Coloring Book".©

We are busy adding coloring pages to our Etsy store every day, working on illustrations, paintings, and writing stories; of course, still working on my snowy quilt, 157 posies from one ball of yarn ( 454g )so far.
"Sleep Walk " ~ is one of several paintings which is part of a story

The Secret of the Old Book π
The smell of old books. There's a word for that, Catsbibliosmia, πΉ but seriously, it's called Bibliosmia. I love the smell of old books and Maggie loves it too.
I love collecting old books, not because of their distinctive odor although it is one of their capturing attributes but because I love the stories, the illustrations and of course their covers that draw me into their worlds.
The smell of old books derives from the Lignin content, the fibers, and chemicals used in the bookmaking of that particular book. Through time, the Lignin content breaks down to form compounds like vanillin and furfural, which are the elements that produce a smell much like vanilla and almond. Combine these scents with their environment they originated from, maybe from a house whose occupant loved coffee, loved plants and flowers, cats and dogs, all these components' odors play a part inoculating the book with its own beautiful and rare perfume.
So, I love sweets, especially ones made with vanilla, and almond and because I'm a diabetic the next best thing to the real sugar is the scent of an old book.
To be surrounded by volumes of old books, all keeping secrets. What a wonderful obsession!

NINE LIVES πππππππππ
*** My latest painting *** "Nine Lives " ***
Bat and "Nine Lives", sure hope this little fella will live all 9! πππππππππ
I must confess, I do have a favorite pet, Bat! Why, well because his story is so special but that's for another post.
I've become the crazy cat lady in my senior years but I do love them a bunch, all three of them, Bat, Maggie, and Karson! Still, I miss our Grace but for the time being, will wait a bit longer before we get another dog, life is too busy at the moment.

Under the willow, the cat's tomb sunk a little further into the old tree. Only, in the ghostly glow of the moonflowers, could one see the tombstone dimly appear from the dark crevices of the ancient monolithic trunk.
So, I paint and listen to my music and the words in a song, in a man paints a picture in my head.

"So long ago, I don't remember when
That's when they say I lost my only friend
Well, they said she died easy of a broken heart disease.
As I listened through the cemetery trees."
My art is inspired by Living Life and Art.
Movies, Books, spoken words and Music
Art imitates Life, Life imitates Art.
The song "One Headlight", The Wallflowers ~ written by Jakob Dylan, was discovered one night when I heard it played in a movie starring Alicia Silverstone and Benicio Del Toro in "Excess Baggage "... Thanks, M for getting me to watch this movie, loved it! Of course, Bat kept me company while I painted. I think he was a painter in another life.
I think I like "Nine Lives " better in black and white. I believe my favorite color is black.
Deceased cat to her paramour:
"Nine lives lived...
" I know that the ones who love us will miss us". I miss you too, my sweetie".
Hubby gave me the title "Nine Lives " when I asked him what he thought of the title I had "Miss You". Then, later I read an article in The New Yorker on Keanu Reeves and his thoughts on death. I'm sure our furry friends feel much the same and so I used Reeves words for the kitty cat.
Once in a while, a star really shines brighter. Keanu Reeves is one of our very, favorites, especially so for my aunt, Anna in Italy.
p.s. Anna,
I thought you might like this bit of information on Keanu Reeves : )
Ghost cats and Bastet, guardians of Willows Cemetery.
Original in color
Enlarge the image and you'll discover there is more to see besides Bat : ) Hint > look at the trees, sky, and moon and maybe a tombstone, too : )
Hope you like "Nine Lives" and Bat, well I think most do.

Close Encounters?

My daughter Emma was playing a tune the other night on her new laptop and I immediately recognized the song that she was listening to. I told her how as a young girl when I was dating her dad had very much liked it but had no idea to its title or for that matter its words.
Emma was glad to hear I knew of the song hoping I would be able to help her track down the version she had first heard in a movie. She had no idea to the movie’s title but remembered the story line and thought that the main character’s name started with an M. She expressed how she had liked the other version so much more and really wanted to find it.
And so, I loving treasure hunts I set out on a mission to find her movie and the artists that sang this song. What I didn’t anticipate was the events that followed.
Once again I found myself reading a lovely blog but expressing sadness and end.
With no aim at altering this person’s mind I told them of my plight and how there are so many alike us; so alone, sad and often at times at a wits end. Maybe my words were taken.... maybe not . And so I continued with my search again getting a surprise that I least expected. I found this quiet fellow obscure in space deciphering the song and his take on what it had to say.
I understood what he said and completely agreed to his understanding of the song. Again there is other ways to take the message of the song but all in all it suppose to make one feel good, which it has done for me.
How strange of such an occurrence as this. Was this really happening to me? Was it supposed to mean something? I know the web is so intricate and detailed and doesn’t seem to miss a thing. Everything is intertwined like a web; the web of life. With that being said it shouldn’t come as a surprise when these things happen but to say the least; I came across a beautiful soul who believes the answer is the next chapter and a servant of God. What am I suppose to think. I really do know that whoever reads this probably thinks I’m off my rocker but really I’m not. You could say I’m just the superstitious kind and one who likes to read into things ....sometimes too much so!!! Did these close encounters have a purpose for all involved? I think at this point I might frighten some people away with this question but I do believe there are greater forces out there!
As for finding the movie I was successful yesterday at locating it. The movie that was responsible for my daughter falling in love with this song and the song that had a mother reminiscing her past, maybe… just maybe giving hope to whoever came across its lyrics and maybe even finding some answers to my quandaries. The movie which featured the song “I’ll Find My Way Home” was called: “The Challengers”. I found the song belonged to an artist by the name of Vangelis. Yes, I remember hearing of his name but never followed him or Jon Anderson….a mistake on my part.
The movie was a collaboration between the Canadians and Americans. "It’s about a young girl who after her father dies moves to a new town. Mackie [m] wants to join a certain band. But they've got this boys-only rule. So Mackie comes up with an audacious plan...only it begins to backfire.”

Unfortunately we haven’t found the artist that sings the song in the movie but I may have found something more dearly;I may have found my way home.
I'll Find My Way Home ~Vangelis~
You ask me where to begin
Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
Ill say I cant tell you when
But if my spirit is lost
How will I find what is near
Dont question Im not alone
Somehow Ill find my way home
My sun shall rise in the east
So shall my heart be at peace
And if youre asking me when
Ill say it starts at the end
You know your will to be free
Is matched with love secretly
And talk will alter your prayer
Somehow youll find you are there.
Your friend is close by your side
And speaks in far ancient tongue
A seasons wish will come true
All seasons begin with you
One world we all come from
One world we melt into one
Just hold my hand and were there
Somehow were going somewhere
Somehow were going somewhere
[interlude]
You ask me where to begin
Am I so lost in my sin
You ask me where did I fall
Ill say I cant tell you when
But if my spirit is strong
I know it cant be long
No questions Im not alone
Somehow Ill find my way home
Somehow Ill find my way home
Somehow Ill find my way home
Somehow Ill find my way home

This is the analysis of the song "I'll Find My Way Home" by this priest from Manchester England:
“Do you hear what I hear? Everything is in there.... grace, an Orthodox understanding of sin, the companionship of Christ, the presence of brothers and sisters on the journey (the Church) and the goal / home which is union with God. Perhaps we should listen more to what is being said in the culture; the heartfelt cry of those who, with us, are seeking. May we all find our way home. Amen.”http://antiochabouna.blogspot.com/

WE WERE SOLDIERS
~ Annabelle
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
