In the fields of Italy

Remember the daisies in the fields of Italy
Remember how we once used to be;
Long hours spent gathering daisies by the sea.
Over the mountains and in the valleys, we saw fields and fields of carpet white and yellow.
The sun dropped unto the earth and shone its smile through these happy flowers.
Now its only but a melancholic photographic memory.
Oh, how I long to see the daisies in the fields of Italy.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
