I love looking at the moon. I think at times I find the moon more alluring and mysterious than the sun and somehow it inspires me in so many different ways. I painted this a while back but I got the urge to paint again after looking at the Bella Luna of last evening.

~ Turn of the Screw ~
WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.

I like this Bella Luna and yes the harvest moon can't get any better..just beautifull!
You did this ~ how wonderful! I love the moon too and all its mystical magical powers.
I love the moon and all her mystery too. I envy your ability to put your feelings into a painting.
Yes I did but I’m afraid that it is not of my design. I saw a Birthday card and just fell in love with the picture and I thought why not try painting one. It doesn’t look like the original; it has a bit of me in the way the lips are painted but I love it just the same. The moon’s eyelids have sparkle on them….very magical.
