Just letting you know that I haven’t gone; I only haven't had time to post anything of interest. There are so many things I want to do and make and write about; that is writing perfectly not anything like this. Never did like grammar much, only wish I had taken it more seriously back then.
But at the moment I’m working on another poem which naturally takes forever for me to conjure. I must find something else to post besides my silly poems. I'm trying to thou. I've started a blog just for my writing http://underneathasugarywatermelonmoon.blogspot.com on the advice of my lovely daughter Em. I'm afraid she has caught that same bug and is writing these days a la Shakespeare. Oh well, as long as some good is coming out of this blogging I'll keep on.
So now I have found an inspiration outlet for my art, writing and love of music. I’ll keep the new blog strictly for writing and keep “Pastoral Dreams” for both writing and everything else that occupies my mind these days. This is so fabulous. I really do love blogging but I seem to be all over the place at the moment. Maybe with time I’ll get a better direction of where I would like to go with this. At the moment thou I’ll keep writing and posting and maybe someday post pics of places I’ve been, things I've done and dreams that I have made real. Until tomorrow I’ll leave you with the beginning of my next poem:
“The Secret Door”
Dark of night
No stars in sight
A sky so cold
No moon of gold

~ Turn of the Screw ~
WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.

Keep on writing Annabelle. I know the frustrations you are going through, often the stresses of life get in the way and fog up our mind, this is when we are unable to see and think clearly about the things.
I like the beginning of your new poem and look forward to reading more. Marion
