*** La Mia Amore Maddie ***
Maddie 1985-1998
Maddie was my Old English Sheep dog that I had always dreamed of having one day.
One day my wish became true ,my husband bought her for me for our wedding anniversary. Although she was my baby she took the back seat once I had my two kids....something I will feel terrible forever.
Here she is dressed up like a little Parisian gal but down deep in her heart she was a true Italian gal who loved grapes and pasta.
When we first got her we lived in a rented duplex where the landlord grew grapes on the dividing fence. Somehow she decided that she wanted to try them out but unfortunately she ate the entire basketful that was there. We had to rush her to emergency and thought we were going to loose her but she luckily survived the ordeal. Maddie lived to be twelve years old until she developed cancer losing her right after the Ice Storm of 98 in March.
Maddie will be forever my very first baby dog of my married life.
I decided to write about Maddie because after writing about my ordeal with the mixing of meds I forgot…as usual, to mention that during the time I was ill Grace and Karson sat by my side on the bed for the entire time; they knew I was sick…imagine how precious , gentle and kind God’s creatures are. Never be heartless towards them for they are truly man’s best friend…your best friend!

A little token to wish you all a very HAPPY Easter.....Welcome to use as you wish...in a good way that is.
Quite old but aftertaking it out of the frame it looks like it came from a magazine a very long, long time ago.
Oooh and I became brave enough to share with you all a glimpse of the gal you read and talk to.....Keep in mind this was taken many years ago. Maybe another couple of years before I gather the courage to show you what I look like now.... age, weight and the cane...no big rush ha!!!

WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.

Hi Annabelle...please don't feel too bad about Maddie taking a back seat when your babies were small...I feel like my first 2 babies took a back seat when we had our dear JoJo as she took up much of our time and attention...and continues to do so as we are slowly getting older. I'm sure Maddie knew she was much loved by you. Thank you for the image of Madonna and child...I have saved it for another time. Good to see your pic...have been wondering what you look like...I imagined you with that dark hair...Hugs to you, Dzintra♥
Dear Annabelle,
Hello! I have been away and I have been catching up reading through your posts! I am glad to hear that you are okay!!! Don't feel bad, it happens. Your Maddie sounds so sweet. I have Havanese and they remind me of a miniature sheep dog. Love your photo, you are gorgeous! I hope you had a wonderful Easter!
Blessings,
Selia
I just voted on a piece you made and found your site. Maddie is beautiful. She knew you loved her, believe it! I have baby bear, a shepherd,lab,husky who is 15. I believe she has cancer but won't take her to see as she is not suffering at all. She has a huge lump on her chest. I love her so. I saw your photo and wanted to tell you" Never be afraid to be yourself" I have my photo on my page...i don't look as good as i did when i was younger but it is me! LOL. I do love the photo tho. Thanks for sharing your life. HUGS, Judy
Hi Annabelle...hope you are well and starting to feel better...
I can't seem to get in to comment on The Romantic???
I have posted on 7th May about the most beautiful romantic garden, full of secrets, candles...and I thought of you...so if you get a chance call over and have a walk through...it was just pure magic!!! Love to you Dzintra ♥
I love your sweet doggie, Maddie :) that's a nickname for me, hehee :) She was soooo CUTE :)
I can see why she holds such a special place in your heart!
And that is such an adorable picture of you two! It is nice to look back at old photos!
I'm positive you are still beautiful, after all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And like my mom used to say about herself, at least I was pretty when I was younger, some can't even say that, she had a quirky personality but hahaha, I find myself saying this to myself, especially when my eyes focus, when they focus that is, on the gray and the cute little rolls of fat, hehehe, overshare I know! I would love to see the Annabelle now, that is the one I have come to love thru all the beauty she shares!
Hope you are resting and are on the mend!!
xoxo ~ your friend ~ Madai
