LOVELY ARE THE WOODS IN SPRING ~ THE HIDEOUT

LOVELY ARE THE WOODS IN SPRING ~ THE HIDEOUT
One month is past, another is begun,
Since merry bells rang out the dying year,
And buds of rarest green began to peer,
As if impatient for a warmer sun;
And though the distant hills are bleak and dun,
The virgin snowdrop, like a lambent fire,
Pierces the cold earth with it's green-streaked spire
And in dark woods, the wandering little one
May find a primrose. Hartley Coleridge
I believe I'm done.

"Haunted? Yes, but by the wrong ghost!"

Currently reading 'The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate—Discoveries from A Secret World' by Peter Wohlleben
I borrowed this book yesterday from my local library. From the rave reviews it received, it will be one to add to my library. But, for now, I'm happily reading the borrowed book.

The other day, I described the woodland landscape I was painting as a ghostly place. The faint chirp of a single bird echoes in the lonely grove. "Haunted? Yes, but by the wrong ghost!" N.E.GENGE

You see, there are no ghosts to see, only the woods.

From the look on Maggie's face, she might have heard something coming out of the canvas, so quiet only a cat could perceive the sound.
Were the trees talking?

"But if you hear a light crackling the next time you take a walk in the forest, perhaps it won't be just the wind...pg#13 'The Hidden Life of Trees'.

*** Once Upon a Time ***

Once Upon a time there lived a little girl who lived by the sea in a far away land.
Each spring she would walk on the seashore and breathe in the beautiful perfume of the feathery downy mimosa on the wind that grew along side the bustling boulevard by the sea. She adored picking daisies and creating flowery crowns and necklaces and pretended to be a princess of the sea. Then one day, she left her beautiful home with her mom and traveled far far away to a wild and beautiful land, only the sea was no where near.

Time sure does pass and waits for no one. The little girl who left her seaside home was seven then and tomorrow she will be 52……WOW! And so I made this digital Banner with the thought of time … Hope you like it.Ooh the year? Well,"10" stands for my birthday in March.

*** Lost in the Secret Garden ***

Of Inspirations and creativity

My daughter's fav of all the graphics I have created.

So sorry for forgetting about "Saturday Night FairyTale" but I have been consumed in creating art in digital graphics. I hope to resume in a few weeks for at the moment I am trying hard to establish myself in this medium and will be selling most of my banners on Etsy and maybe some other shops but not so sure yet; checking other areas as well as the internet.These that I have posted are for sale or will be soon.
I will definitely be continuing the FairyTales for without them inspiration fails me. I have consequently been taking a different road in the past few weeks in getting out for fresh air and exercise with my furry luv Grace, taking photos and learning my camera, finding ideas for writing and creating art in all of the areas I adore working in. I will no doubt share with you my ventures and enlighten on some not so original but some spin off ideas you may want to try your hand at and at other times I may just have a novel idea. Your creativity through art, no matter what kind is so good for ones soul. So do come in for a quiet moment or two and enjoy the music and read from time to time; you may discover something tugging at your heart. This week has been entirely spent on designing with
Graphics!!!’m hooked line and sinker and I will aim for perfection. Hopefully I won’t tire…I’m a true Piscean !

This one is for the little kids in us all...Catching Butterflies, fireflies, dragonflies,Damselflies and who knows what else.My daughter has come home with little spotted salamenders and then set them free. Wonderful memories of life spent in the wilderness of nature.

Roses are a passion and so are fairies as you can see. Whimsical and magical, a world of dream.

Birds and their beautiful voices...always drawn to them.They are the best homemakers I know!

Until then, be inspired and create!

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
