*** Lost in Dreams *** Avatar

Working on completing my first web design set for Blog and Etsy.So far I have the Etsy Shop Banner and avatar. Now I'll continue on designing the blog banner. I really like this, but of course you know me, I adore blue. I think after this the moon is going to take a rest for I have a terrible urge to start painting again. I discovered a gal last night that has me swooning over her art work. I bought two prints from her and waiting to see if I can buy another of her prints. I wish I could buy an original from her but first I have to make some sales because all I am doing at the moment is spending....hehe! Anyway I think next post I'll reveal the artist that I fell in luv with....stay tuned.

*** Lost in Dreams ***

I feel like Lucy in the sky with diamonds…drugs sure help to cope with the pain and make you Dream!
I started this late last night when I couldn’t sleep from the pain and was reading Victorian Trading Co. Catalogue

http://www.victoriantradingco.com/ (click tile "Lost in Dreams " to take you to Victorian Trading Company)

when I came across a beautiful Art Nouveau lidded dish bedside box...I was inspired! Wish I could afford it especially when it is in a style I complelety adore and the sleeeping girl is amist a field of forget-me- nots...in dreamy blues and greens....just so lovely!!!
Just finished it this morning and now I think I will make a matching one for a blog and will post them up on Etsy as soon as I am done. What do you think……Dreamy?

What I can afford are these lovely sweet Velveteen Birds....These I definately will buy.

*** MoonFlower ~ Catching a Falling Star ***

Well, I suppose whoever is dropping in for a look and see shouldn't be too surprise what my post is about….Digital Graphics…Collage….Altered Art….The Works!!!
I am still very much playing with my program {one of the two I own } and still far from understanding all the tools and rules....lots to read and learn yet! But this is what I have been able to accomplish so far and I must say I am hooked and feel like I am making some progress; so many ideas when I go to create and each and every time I take a complete turn around. It just doesn’t come together as I first imagine but in the end I have something that I am truly happy with and if after taking numerous looks at the finished art and feel something is wrong or is missing an element there is no need to fret for the program allows you to go back and make the necessary tweaks.
Digital Graphics is my kind of art, that is one of my passions in art…..luv it!
“MoonFlower” and “Catching a Falling Star”…..Hope you like them.

*** Fairy Moon ***

Full moon tonight and its rising above the clouds higher and higher still, way up into the heavens and my dog just won’t come in to bed. Grace looks as if she’s in a trance, captivated by a magical moon. Last night was a full moon as well although I missed it since it was over cast but tonight it is in full glamour!
Another graphic design…a blog banner I designed inspired by the moon, stars,my dog Grace, flowering window boxes of forget-me-nots and pansies, gilded window frames and lace curtains and an old mystical ruin. A magical view of the garden beyond,my very secret garden, sleeping, waiting to wake up to warmth of the rising sun; soon it will be Spring!

*** Once Upon a Time ***

You can view this banner in a larger size on my FireFlies and FairyTales blog.

Once Upon a time there lived a little girl who lived by the sea in a far away land.
Each spring she would walk on the seashore and breathe in the beautiful perfume of the feathery downy mimosa on the wind that grew along side the bustling boulevard by the sea. She adored picking daisies and creating flowery crowns and necklaces and pretended to be a princess of the sea. Then one day, she left her beautiful home with her mom and traveled far far away to a wild and beautiful land, only the sea was no where near.

Time sure does pass and waits for no one. The little girl who left her seaside home was seven then and tomorrow she will be 52……WOW! And so I made this digital Banner with the thought of time … Hope you like it.Ooh the year? Well,"10" stands for my birthday in March.

*** Wild is the Wind ***

Here is my latest digital work for a blog banner. Kind of reminds me of a Bank Cheque...maybe $40,000,000 dollars worth....I wish!ha! Had fun creating this.

After a Desktop Publishing course, buying DreamWeaver, using an online free Photoshop trial and Polyvore I think I may just be getting it...yippe!
Just goes to show where there is a will there is a way.

I always wanted to create digital graphic work but after a bad teacher experience the scar remained with me for years until eventually it receded in the last year and thanks goes to my two wonderful kids who lately have taken a bit of their time to show their mom a few tricks they learned from their high school computer teacher. Really a good teacher is a must for one to excel and this fellow is great and I thank him for teaching my kids well and making the learning process fun. And I in turn also benefit.

Blog Banner *** Dreams ***

*** Dreams ***

Just a tiny post to show the new Blog Banner I am working on. These past few days have been wonderful and full of sunshine. I don’t know exactly why, maybe the extra vitamin c or the spring like air but I feel rejuvenated with a burst of energy … that is for creativity.
Had a great family day today but of course way too short, looking forward to the March Break. Tomorrow will be seeing me go for my first mammogram…yuck! Hopefully it will be okay and when I return, straight to the computer to do some changes to the banner…yippee…in my dreams…other chores to attend to I’m afraid but maybe later…want to make another banner and avatar as well.

To view larger version of this banner scroll to the bottom of page...

I will be posting the banner on Etsy once it is completed.

Goodnight and Sweet Dreams.

~ Romancing the Vampire ~

Well, I think I have finally charmed my daughter to giving it a whirl at selling her art on Etsy. She has made me three blog banners so far and working on one for me. It would be lovely when she makes a sale but for the time being she is exploring her gift of arresting inner visions that I can’t begin to imagine. She seriously surprises me every time;you're quite a unique girl my dear Emma.

Twilight at Sea

The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
