Baby Woody
This morning its raining and the garden certainly needs the drink.I thought back to last summer how a small wood pecker found shelter from the rain under the large sunflower.My daughter Emma woke up and looking out her bedroom window got a lovely surprise and took this picture. She titled the picture "Baby Woody".
I will make you brooches and toys for your delight
Of bird-song at morning and star-shine at night.
I will make a palace fit for you and me,
Of green days in forests and blue days at sea.

~ Turn of the Screw ~
WE WERE SOLDIERS
Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by,
As lightly and as free;
Ten thousand stars were in the sky,
Ten Thousand on the sea;
For every wave with dimpled face,
That leaped upon the air,
Had caught a star in its embrace,
And held it trembling there.
