Go to Sleep, Darlings...
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields
It covers them snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, Go to Sleep, Darlings, till the summer comes again.” Lewis Carroll
A broad and ample road, whose dust is gold, And pavement stars—as starts to thee appear Soon in the galaxy, that milky way Which mightly as a circling zone thou seest Powder'd with stars.”

Stargazing at the night sky by a roaring bonfire ๐ฅ is so, so magical๐ซNow that Fall has arrived the chilly nights beckon us to the midnight garden, sit by the fire and look up at the stars a little more closer spying the constellations ๐ in the deep dark sky. Not long ago I posted some of the constellations I noticed with the @skyview app, a really fun application that helps you find the constellations a lot quicker๐ซ
The stars never leave you alone and guide you in your journeys✨never finding yourself lost๐only I always find myself happily Lost in Space ๐⭐️✨๐ซ๐

Do you Dream with eyes wide open or only in your darkest sleep?
Do you see the Dreams you Dream in Vivid Technicolor , Black and White or only in the faint wisps of smoky ghosts that remain behind, haunting your every daylight hour?
Do you love the curious and mysterious realms that are secretly tucked within the crevices of our earthly landscapes or in the microscopic tunnels of our strange and beautiful minds; they might even be the more intriguing of the two for each brain describes the embodiment of flesh and blood that belongs only to you and no other human being.
I dreamt up these two digital graphic designs some time ago, basically pondering on what Dreams really mean.
I am a dreamer and it has never been a secret I kept to myself, for to me "a dreamer is one who can find his way by moonlight and see the dawn before the rest of the world."
I have difficulty in remembering my dreams of the night and therefore I sapor in my daylight dreamy hours, these dreams I have with eyes wide open enlighten me with endless magical realms.
So, I thought for this week ,since I've been enjoying some quality family time ( my husband and son just returned back from their jobs out west) and not really doing much for painting or working on my show case for Denise's Etsy Shops promotions( will definitely be getting to it this weekend) that I would share some of my inspirations, and sketches for possible paintings.
Oh, and the quote you see at the top of this post is from a site called http://www.dreammoods.com/ .
I'll have to pay them another visit and explore their site, looks interesting; you might like it as well.
Dream Sketches of moon, stars, lichen, forget -me -nots, dandelions, bubbles and butterfly
The paper I sketched on was already sparkled ( a little treasure I picked up at a church sale) , must try to find more of it.
And this little painting with an angel and gargoyles I discovered at a thrift store in Aylmer Quebec. It doesn't have the artist signature , wish it did. Anyway, it's beautiful and it inspires me.
And finally a little reminder of lost treasures. This diminutive beautiful pussy willow tree near my home was just right for picking a few fuzzy branches and maybe even take the one with the nest. My daughter said that I was possibly stealing a tiny bird's home but it didn't matter because even before I could reach the branch I fell into waist deep water…lol! Anyway, long story short, I returned a week later to see if the ditch had dried up and wouldn't you know it….. the tree was gone, nest and all, it was bulldozed over….progress?????
When reading the comments on Youtube some viewers felt that Leonard Cohen in this picture looked a bit like Al Pacino , Dustin Hoffman and Adam Sandler. I suppose he does remind me of Al and the other two but to me he is the one and only Leonard Cohen, the poet of our time. O,O Enjoy !
Sorry for my absence but summer called to me and I have been in the garden creating and dreaming.
This is but one of a number of inspirations I have gathered from the garden and my dreams. I hope to continue to develop what I imagine and build it into a reality and share with you the fruit of my mind's imagination. So from now and then, probably more then, I will be posting some interesting conceptions that you may like.
At the moment, I ‘m afraid that I have been caught in Summer’s Dream ...

"The Spirits of the Air live on the smells Of fruit; and Joy, with pinions light, roves round the gardens, or sits singing in the trees."
I feel like Lucy in the sky with diamonds…drugs sure help to cope with the pain and make you Dream! I started this late last night when I couldn’t sleep from the pain and was reading Victorian Trading Co. Catalogue

when I came across a beautiful Art Nouveau lidded dish bedside box...I was inspired! Wish I could afford it especially when it is in a style I complelety adore and the sleeeping girl is amist a field of forget-me- nots...in dreamy blues and greens....just so lovely!!! Just finished it this morning and now I think I will make a matching one for a blog and will post them up on Etsy as soon as I am done. What do you think……Dreamy?
What I can afford are these lovely sweet Velveteen Birds....These I definately will buy.
Well, I suppose whoever is dropping in for a look and see shouldn't be too surprise what my post is about….Digital Graphics…Collage….Altered Art….The Works!!! I am still very much playing with my program {one of the two I own } and still far from understanding all the tools and rules....lots to read and learn yet! But this is what I have been able to accomplish so far and I must say I am hooked and feel like I am making some progress; so many ideas when I go to create and each and every time I take a complete turn around. It just doesn’t come together as I first imagine but in the end I have something that I am truly happy with and if after taking numerous looks at the finished art and feel something is wrong or is missing an element there is no need to fret for the program allows you to go back and make the necessary tweaks. Digital Graphics is my kind of art, that is one of my passions in art…..luv it! “MoonFlower” and “Catching a Falling Star”…..Hope you like them.
Full moon tonight and its rising above the clouds higher and higher still, way up into the heavens and my dog just won’t come in to bed. Grace looks as if she’s in a trance, captivated by a magical moon. Last night was a full moon as well although I missed it since it was over cast but tonight it is in full glamour! Another graphic design…a blog banner I designed inspired by the moon, stars,my dog Grace, flowering window boxes of forget-me-nots and pansies, gilded window frames and lace curtains and an old mystical ruin. A magical view of the garden beyond,my very secret garden, sleeping, waiting to wake up to warmth of the rising sun; soon it will be Spring!
Just a tiny post to show the new Blog Banner I am working on. These past few days have been wonderful and full of sunshine. I don’t know exactly why, maybe the extra vitamin c or the spring like air but I feel rejuvenated with a burst of energy … that is for creativity. Had a great family day today but of course way too short, looking forward to the March Break. Tomorrow will be seeing me go for my first mammogram…yuck! Hopefully it will be okay and when I return, straight to the computer to do some changes to the banner…yippee…in my dreams…other chores to attend to I’m afraid but maybe later…want to make another banner and avatar as well.
To view larger version of this banner scroll to the bottom of page...
I will be posting the banner on Etsy once it is completed.

Twilight at Sea
The Twilight Hours like birds flew by, As lightly and as free; Ten thousand stars were in the sky, Ten Thousand on the sea; For every wave with dimpled face, That leaped upon the air, Had caught a star in its embrace, And held it trembling there.
